History of Juicy Jun’s
Migrated to the United States in October 1982. There are 10 kids in the family.
Our dad was only a dish washer at Claire’s Pantry. We’d always wondered
what it would be like to be in the United States. The only view of America that
we saw was what was being broadcast on television. My brother Jun started
washing dishes along with our Dad and my brother, Nestor. Jun knows what
hard work is, but never realizing where his true talent lay. From washing dishes
he moved up in the world to cooking at the University Plaza Hotel. He worked
under some great chef’s and as the years went by, he became a head cook.
Why the name JUICY JUN’S?
We asked all my family, “What should we name the business?”. One of the nephews, CJ, said,“Call it Juicy Jun’s... Because your barbeque is so juicy”.
Juicy Jun’s intention is to provide the best Filipino food and service as possible. We really try to keep it simple - this way, we are able to accomplish our goal.
